Special Guest Coaches at Learn to Play

During our Fall One Session of Little Blues and Girls Development Learn to Play Programs, guest coaches Jamal Mayers and Alex Cavallini were on the ice, helping our players develop their hockey skills.

St. Louis Blues Alumni Jamal Mayers helps out at our Little Blues Program. Jamal, a retired NHL Hockey player, played 17 years of pro hockey and 15 of those years with five NHL teams: St. Louis, Toronto, Calgary, San Jose, and Chicago. 

Olympic Gold Medalist Alex Cavallini helps out at our Girls Development Program. Alex Represented the U.S. at two Olympic Winter Games, winning gold in 2018 and silver in 2022. She was also a U.S. Women's National Team member and earned a spot on seven International Ice Hockey Federation Women's World Championship teams.

On Saturday, September 14, both Jamal and Alex made a surprise visit to our programs. Their presence on the ice and their sharing of their extensive hockey knowledge left a lasting impression on our future hockey players.
